If we are going to preach about climate change mitigation and living a more sustainable lifestyle, as a company we had better practice what we preach. Our hope is that by being forthright and transparent, our actions as a company will catch on and become a model for other companies to follow.
Even though our impact on the environment is minimal, we do our best to reduce what little impact we have. Our small office is in a
"Boma Go Green" certified building, we only use 100% post consumer waste office paper, we recycle whatever we possibly can,
we use re-usable water bottles, we do whatever we can to not fly, we don't have ANY company vehicles.
When considering a new purchase, our first though is "Where did it come from?" and "Can we buy something more sustainable?" It is actually quite easy to get on the green program when it comes to office supplies and material. All it takes a click of a button on the green version of whatever you are buying. They even sell recycled pens these days.
We know that carbon offsets are somewhat controversial. That said, our view is that how can investing in carbon reduction or carbon removal be bad? We offset our operations using only high quality, 3rd party certified carbon credits to offset our carbon footprint.
Our employees are treated as partners and this will always be the case. We believe that equal treatment of employees is not only the right of individuals but it is also the key to the success of any company. The people who work companies are the lifeblood of every operation.
